Grassroots advocacy plays an integral part in helping elected leaders better understand the trucking industry.  Your voice is essential. If you do not educate lawmakers, who will? The better you know your local leaders and the better they know your issues the more likely they are to support them.

Involvement comes in many forms.  It can be as simple as the sending of a letter or placing a phone call when a “Call to Action” is issued. Or you can take a more active role by making visits to your local legislator.  Building relationships is essential. Contact from a constituent heightens interest in an issue unlike anything else and can make all the difference. Policymakers want to hear from you when voting on issues that will impact your business and ability to move goods in California.
