Kingpin Alerts
What are Legislative Alerts Legislative Alerts are faxed or e-mailed to Kingpins when there is an urgent issue in the state legislature and CTA needs you to respond immediately. Legislative Alerts will contain an issue background information that will detail the pending legislation and provide you with CTA's position, talking points, and contact information of the elected officials you need to call, email or fax. Legislative Alerts will tell you what specifically needs to be done (email, fax, phone call). If the Legislative Alert asks you to speak to a legislator, do not send a fax or email in lieu of the conversation. If your legislator is unavailable, speak to the staff person handling the bill or issue you are calling about. After completing a Legislative Alerts, always report back to CTA by
e-mailing Nycala Benson at nbenson@caltrux.org
, and fax a copy of the letter you faxed to the
