CTA Environmental Policy & Compliance

Environmental Policy & Compliance | California Environmental Regulations | Safety Policy & Compliance | Join CTA

Environmental regulations affect the trucking industry in a profound way and can be some of the most difficult laws to advocate and understand. CTA's Environmental Affairs Department is committed to providing members with the necessary knowledge to successfully advocate and comply with state environmental laws. Our membership participates in cost saving environmental services, programs, training, representation and advocacy.

  • CTA members can join our California Trucking Association Monitoring Group (CTAMG) and drastically reduce the costs and hassles of complying with state storm water regulations. For more information on our Storm Water monitoring program, please call Jacob Settelmeyer at (916) 373-3524 and/or Click Here.
  • CTA also offers annual Hazardous Waste Generator and Underground Storage Tank (UST) training courses to help members comply with the training requirements of California state law. These courses are offered in both Northern and Southern California. For more information about the next UST and HazWaste course, please call 916-373-3524

Our knowledgeable environmental staff updates and educates CTA members on important environmental issues and walks them through the nuts and bolts of compliance, as well as providing information to individual members on request. CTA membership provides you with access to all of these environmental assistance programs, as well as a unified voice in the regulatory efforts of California state agencies.
