Events & Training

CTA provides many opportunities at the state and local level in which you can actively get involved. Whether it be networking, education or policy development, we provide a series of events in which we encourage your participation.

CTA also makes available programs to preserve and promote safe practices in the trucking industry. We and our members work to maintain and improve the industry’s safety record through our safety awards, driver recognition programs, and skills competition. Continued improvement in truck safety has saved lives, reduced property loss and provided for an enhanced system of commercial transportation in California.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP CONFERENCE

CTA’s annual convention provides information, training, and networking to prepare our members for success and set the course for the new year.

EXECUTIVE, BOARD, & POLICY MEETINGS

Members participate in developing industry policy by volunteering their time on conferences and committees and attending these quarterly meetings.

TRUCK DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

This truck driving skills competition recognizes safe driving & professionalism in the transportation industry. Honor your drivers with the opportunity to participate in this regional event.

CALL ON WASHINGTON

Call on Washington is a national advocacy program designed to provide interested CTA members with an opportunity to meet directly with members of Congress, key congressional staff, and fellow industry leaders.

TRUCK DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK

Each September, one week is dedicated to the hard-working men and women behind the wheel delivering loads across America. CTA's regional units host events directly honoring drivers in California.

FLEET SAFETY AWARDS

Safety is our priority at the California Trucking Association. This event recognizes and honors the state’s ground-breaking safety programs and talented professionals.

DRIVER OF THE MONTH/YEAR AWARDS

This program identifies and honors drivers who have shown a high degree of excellence during their career.

REGIONAL UNIT MEETINGS

Get involved locally and build a network of peers by attending meetings and events produced and sponsored by members in your area.
